Damn.

Somehow someone in our house (they have not admitted who just yet - was either my wife, daughter or sister-in-law, though my guess might be the latter) deleted a slew of things on the DVR, including the last two episodes of Hell on Wheels which I had not watched yet. Guess I have to hope AMC reairs those two before the new season.

Lately, my DVR has been doing this thing where it records all of the audio, and the first minute of video. When that minute is up the video will hang but you can listen to the whole rest of the show. It's probably doing it about 5% of the time. Most recently to The Daily Show and my recording of D3: The Mighty Ducks which I never got around to watching when I was a kid.

Does anyone know if MST3K is on any of the streaming services. The movie is on HBO OD but obviously not the episodes. My wife has never heard of it and I need to fix this right now.

Yeah, the quality was pretty poor though. It used to be on Netflix but was purged out in 2012. :(

Ah ha! Amazon Instant. Good enough!

I was kind of sad that there was no True Detective tonight, but thankfully The Walking dead stepped up with a great episode.

I watched a few more episodes of Psych... think I have one or two left in the first season. Definitely a fun show.

I love Touch of Satan. That's a solid MST3K.

touch of satan is like the stairway of MST3K, really good. I also enjoy Manos Hands of Fate, merlin's shop of mystical wonders, hobgoblins, and diabolik. There are a lot of great episodes from above as well.

Awesome, thanks folks. Netflix is kind of an oddity in that I pay for it directly, but only to watch one specific series. Their interface is so unintuitive you have to stumble into stuff or search specifically for something. At least I can forgive Amazon Unlimited for its poor interface because I get Amazon Prime for the shipping, not to watch streaming content.

I remember years ago they had a 48 hour marathon of MST3K over Thanksgiving weekend. I bought 12 VHS tapes and made sure to replace one for every episode.

VHS is what we used to watch before DVDs for all you young folk. Kind of like cassettes which we used before CDs or MP3s.

You're so Beta, bro.

My Dad had one of the early video cameras where you had to carry around the VCR as you filmed. I think he still might have it tucked away somewhere. He also dubbed every single movie he rented from the video store for decades, and then we had a house fire and they all melted into one giant pile of plastic.

My favorite MST3Ks are Boggy Creek 2: The Legend Continues and Time Chasers. Mitchell, starring Joe Don Baker, is also a good choice.

What's the premise of that show? It it a reality show following one bar, or is it a new bar each time?

It's kinda like Kitchen Nightmares, but with bars and an angry American instead of an angry Brit. It also feels less staged than the latter American seasons of KN, so far anyway.

Basically, if you enjoy Taffer yelling at idiots, you'll enjoy the show. If you don't, you'll hate it. It's great comedic relief for me.

See, in the description on DirecTV channel guide, they call Taffer the owner in every description so I thought it was one bar. If I can jump in any time I might actually stop on it. Thanks.
