I can't get over either A) how bad of a fisherman or B) how bad the luck is on the Kodiak.

Jake is a total *****.

I agree. Last night got back to basics. Bad weather, bad fishing, Phil yelling at Jake, Sig working his crew too hard. That's all I need in my Deadliest Catch.

After a rocky start, the show is back on track and has been very solid the last couple of weeks. They're really foreshadowing Phil's death. I didn't think it was going to be included in this season but it's seeming more and more like that's where we're headed.

It is very freaky about how he himself is foreshadowing it.....

Yeah he keeps making comments and everytime something bad happens that stresses him out it's like watching it build.

I don't think Phil has that incident until an offload, but they're certainly foreshadowing.

Ya there playing up Phil, it looks like he can go at any second, hes getting beat physically and mentally especially now with Jake.

Spoiler:
You saw them setting up that ending also, with him not getting out of bed and goofing off on deck and almost falling into one of the tanks. Im anxious to see what happens in the coming episodes with Jake Josh and Phil

Now that I have thought about it a little that does not surprise me at all.

Spoiler:
Jake has in previous seasons and this season exhibited behaviors consistent with prescription drug abuse. You got a hint of it when he was describing his two sons earlier in the episode.

Agreed. And now with Phil gone, and the run ins with the law since his passing, I wouldn't be surprised if Jake ends up in prison.

Spoiler:
I am somewhat curious to see what has become of the boat since then. Josh certainly was not really interested in running the thing and I think was just working on the boat to spend time with his dad. Since his dad is now passed I bet he quit fishing. Wonder what will become of the boat. I am sure we will not see it next season.

Spoiler:
I thought that too, until last night's show. Josh realized Phil's not long for the world. In last night's episode, when the 3 were in the cabin, Phil noted Josh was making the effort to learn his job, and what it took to run a boat. He (Josh) may want to carry on his dad's legacy, which seems to be more important to him than to Jake. Jake is all about the money.

I just loved Phil's reaction over the intercom when Jake slipped in the tank. Almost immediately you heard "You gotta be ****** kidding"

After the catch was interesting as well. I'm glad that stupid fight w Keith is over. Its kinda disappointing to hear Mike bought his own boat. The time Bandit won't be the same without him.

This is a very nice interview done with Josh. He talks about Phil's death, Jake's addiction and what the future holds.
