Just Finished:

77 Shadow Street by Dean Koontz. Meh. Started strong, then didn't deliver.

Worst Case by James Patterson. Loved it. Looking for the other two Patterson books with the same detective.

Starting to read the Governor Novels from TWD...

About 4 chapters into Rise of the Governor right now, slow start but that's to be expected

The Tommyknockers might be one of King's worst works.

Just finished the first TWD novel Rise of the Governor. Pretty good read, huge plot twist at the end. Looking forward to starting the second: The Road to Woodbury

That was very entertaining. I need to acquire some more of his stuff.

Reading Rabbit, Run and the first thing from Updike for me. Is it bad that it's so easy to identify with narcissism.

Finished Rabbit, Run. Have to change my stance. I don't think I identify with him as much as I thought I did. There's definitely a general discontent with life and society with Rabbit, he certainly believes there is something out there that he doesn't possess that will give him fulfillment. While I understand that, he takes that resentment and seems to view those around him as the reason he's unfullfilled. I don't believe that at all, it's not anyone else's fault that you despise your surroundings.

Rabbit really becomes despicable and selfious to an unbearable extent.

I went out to Montana and Wyoming and fly fished all those rivers depicted in the book and movie (movie filmed on different rivers). It's like being on a different planet.

I use it all the time, but I'm renting audiobooks to put on my mp3 player when I do endurance running. To pay it forward when I buy a new audiobook (rare) I donate them to the library. They were happy to get Inferno, even if it'll rot your brain. Anyone know if that has been optioned as a movie?

Now reading (nerrrrds!) Ignition! An Informal History of Liquid Rocket Propellants, which is available online at http://library.sciencemadness.org/libra ... nition.pdf. It's … err … a history of liquid rocket propellants, which were mostly but not always extremely nasty chemicals.

After reading a comparison between Orwell and Huxley I've decided I need to read A Brave New World.

Currently reading Wallace Stegner's Angle of Repose.

Just finished Richard Farina's Been Down so Long, it Feels up to Me. He was buddies with Pynchon back in college, unfortunately the author died shortly after this was published. I wish there was more from him.

Richard Russo's Straight Man. This is probably the funniest book I've ever read.

About 3/4th's of the way through Confederacy of Dunces. Ignatius is easily the funniest character I've ever come across in literature.
