I'll be happy when Pirates' fans have something more to root for than the Yanks sucking.

Good news Tigers, you're going to the World Series. Bad News...your stadium is still in Detroit.

I'm not a Pirates fan :pop:

Hell, I'm not even much of a baseball fan anymore. Just hate the Yankees.

Then I guess I wasn't talking about you. :pop:

Is kinda weird that you hate a team in a sport you don't care about though. :pop: :pop:

You realize that there's about 29 teams right now cheering that the yankees lost, right?

Give it up, bro.
You're not getting any sympathy for being a Yankees fan.

Why would anyone think I'm trying to get sympathy? The Yankees spend a ton and should win. Doesn't mean I shouldn't be annoyed when they don't.

I love MLB. It's the only time in this country that the North and the South can both agree to hate Yankees.

Professional baseball in North America may be broken, but the MLB certainly is not.

depends on the parameters in which you think something is functional. from an economic standpoint, its on solid ground. on principles of equality and a level playing field, it can be argued that it is bankrupt in that sense.

It's all about perspective. I'd guess at least 90-95% of ownership, players, and management is happy with MLB. I'd guess that 60-70% of fans are happy with the MLB product they get. Maybe more. Obviously a salary cap system would be more equitable. However, I don't know that it's going to bring fans in droves to the sport.

MLB fans may hate A-Rod, but if you get benched during a baseball it is a time honored tradition to flirt with ladies in the stands. He is a baseball purist.

Plus these chicks are hot.

According to the story I read, they both each got balls previously (probably for being hot). The one on the right in that pic is an Aussie swimsuit model. But I digress. When A-Rod had a ball boy throw up a ball with a message asking for their numbers, they didn't see the message at first and gave it away since they already had balls. But the dude who got it saw the message and gave the ball back hahahaha.

Article with hotter pics of the model:

see thats why jeter is the man and a-rod is a tool. those stories from a few months back about how jeter treated his women is much more impressive than a-rod being a tool during the ALCS

I thought I liked the Cardinals, because I always do, but there is really no one on the team that I want to win. I mean I like Furcal, but he isn't playing. I think I want the Giants to win.

I think I am correct that San Fran has faced 4 elimination games and survived them all. Wonder if they can make it 5.

This is the 6th. three games against the reds (down 2--0 and won three straight). three against the cards (down 3-1 and won the first two).
