I think the Braves should go get him. Upton - Upton - Heyward. :pop:

So why is Big Mac deserving of the BBHOF again? Career .260 that had power but also struck out a lot.

.394 OBP and .588 SLG are pretty darn impressive over 12 years. As is his RBI total. Don't think he'll ever get in though; his vote total keeps decreasing.

Sounds like the Braves are getting Justin Upton for Randall Delgado and some other prospects. What a coup for them.

Nice middle of the order: Heyward, McCann, Upton, Upton, Freeman, Uggla

Oh mah god. Saw the offer was made, was curious to see what it was. If it goes through...sex. Best young outfield in baseball.

great lineup and the best bullpen in baseball. That should be a great race in the NL east with them and the Nationals.

As long as Simmonds keeps doing what he did before getting hurt last year, it'll be a sick lineup. Simmonds, Prado Heyward then the rest of them probably getting shuffled around. This is assuming Prado doesn't go the other way. I pray that he doesn't. Basically would cry if this trade happened as long as they retain Bethancourt, Teheran, Simmonds.

Wow, they only send Prado, Delgado and a bunch of no name prospects. Plus they got Chris Johnson with upton.

Killer deal for the Braves, that is going to be one heck of a team IMO. Happy Upton stayed in the NL, looks like I'll have to replace my Dbacks shirt with a Braves one..

Awesome trade, but booo to losing Prado. I guess getting Johnson makes it fine. No idea who bats second now though.

What on earth are the D-Backs doing? Why include Chris Johnson also at the very least?

I think Chris Johnson is actually kind of worthless outside of games against the pirates.

I never even heard of him before this trade, but he looks like he could competently platoon with Francisco.

I think Johnson had solid numbers in Arizona after that trade last year, I am thinking he's still kind of young (25?), but I could be wrong.

Upton also asked that the "Uptown" sign at Chase Field be taken down. The D'Backs are refusing to call it a trade request, but it quite clearly was. Upton got his wish on Thursday afternoon as part of a seven-player swap and will team up with brother B.J. in Atlanta this summer. They both hold a huge amount of fantasy potential.

The "Uptown" sign is going with him to Atlanta.

MWB will be happy, as the Yankees would probably void that contract.

Very. I guess they're going to try, but seems like it's very unlikely to be allowed. Hopefully he gets the hint and asks to be traded.

Not sure how Gio gets out of being suspended, unless he gets traded to Milwaukee quickly.
