I don't know...I guess to me there are so many guys like Pujols that obvioulsy cheated, but haven't gotten caught. So Braun gets caught and we all need to act like, "OMG CHEATER..LOOK LOOK CHEATER, AND LOOK AT HIM DENYING IT". I'm just not going to get worked up about it and want to go rehash how much of a phony he is cause he's on tape lying.
Of course he denied it. As he should have till they proved it. Coming out on a technicality and saying things like "the truth prevailed" and saying that he's a victim of a process that broke down and failed is BS.
Well, I guess it bothered me more with Clemens because of how people were touting his late career success to "hard work". I remember some fat obnoxious loud mouth yankee fan at my last office spouting off about how hard his work outs are (she probably some some BS footage of him on ESPN doing situps).
The technicality Braun got off on was BS and it was obvious he was guilty. It's a garbage appeal process that let him get off on that, he could have spouted off whatever during that silly interview, every reasonable person knew it was BS.
I doubt he would win. The ruling was that the sample was improperly handled. I don't see how this could change the ruling. The mishandling of the sample holds true irrespective of accuracy of the result
Braun strongly implied that the guy had doctored the sample. His legal people went about saying the guy didn't handle the sample properly, but Braun's statements directly about the guy stated that there was something suspicious about what happened and then indirectly he flat out said he was innocent. I don't know if thats enough to go after him for slander though.
