Sure, it's same kind of analysis that should have led people to believe that the Pirates wouldn't win the division.

Why do people keep hammering home the 10-1 stat with Gomes in the lineup?

Dude was 1/14 (.071) in the WS and 6/39 (.154) overall

That was one of the worst championship celebrations I've ever seen. They might as well shook each other's hands.

For the same reason Tim Tebow Just Wins. People aren't good at understanding the difference between correlation and causation.

Really? Thats the best part? I think the yankees fans will be ok. Theyve seen almost as many world series wins in the last 20 years as the red sox organization has seen ever.

So since 2001 that's:

3 superbowls
3 WS
1 NBA title
1 Stanley Cup

Is any other city even close?

If you take the Lakers out of the equation, Pittsburgh probably comes closest to matching that level of postseason success, and we aren't even close.

Miami would be the closest if you include the Bucs.

:pop: When I said this, forgot that Miami had a football team.

you hit the nail perfectly on the head. sooooooo glad that I don't live in this county. I'd have my local politicians asses if they did this to me as a tax payer.
be prepared for a lot of rain delays if you're a Braves fan. Cobb County, or as I like to call it Tornado Alley is on the Northwest side of metro ATL and when bad weather comes through it almost always hits Cobb County first then peters out before it gets to where I live on the East side of metro ATL.
