veteran tip: betting on horses is a good way to get free drinks.

1) hang out in the horse room
2) throw a cheap bet in the mix every once in a while
3) collect free drink tickets

if you don't want to risk quickly losing money at black jack tables or go drink by yourself at a poker table, this is a good way to chill out and get good value on alcohol.

Delilahsac dot com is the website for the club.

2-hour bachelor party package for $49 per person. Not sure what that includes.

Yeah, this is my number one casino drinking tip to everyone. Plus, betting on horses is fun. But yeah, the waitresses aren't watching closely how many bets you are placing, and you can place cheap bets. Not to mention they often have other sports on

last time i was at the trop, it only had to look like you were betting to get drinks. at the borgata, you actually have to place bets.

A college girlfriend interned at the old Sands Casino for a semester so I visited there fairly regularly. AC is a very sad place.

Lots if Jitneys that run from casino to casino and the train station.

I've walked around during the day into the outlet shopping area and along the main drag. No problems. After dark, I avoid it.

Don't leave the strip on foot. As long as you take an actual cab you'll be fine.

Csb time: A college friend had his bachelor party in AC. We bought liquor to pregame at the hotel prior to going to the casinos. My other friend decided to buy a couple bottles of Mad Dog. After chugging these bottles quickly he disappeared about an hour into the night. Another of my friends was with him and his night consisted of:
Walking through a kitchen in the Tropicana and briefly ending up on the roof;
Talking a jitney on a round trip from the Tropicana to the casino next door and back without getting out of the jitney, then walking to the next hotel afterwards in the pouring rain;
Passing out and locking the door to one of the two hotel rooms we had rented so that 9 of us had to share a room for half the night until we were finally able to wake him up.

My adult league hockey team is considering going to AC for a tournament in late May.

Thought it would be a great place to go play a weekend tournament and party, but after heading this thread I'm not so sure ...

I've been there a zillion times and have never felt unsafe. Sure, you shouldn't go wandering off the main strip, but you wouldn't have any reason to.

Dang, we're leaving sunday. TDG is the only band I really care for there. Might hit up that sublime tribute band though.

What's your definition of reasonable?

Blue Heron Pines is a well regarded course and here's a link to others. Seaview is also supposed to be good.
