If that were my team, i wouldn't enjoy checking it very often. I would probably just figure out the ten keepers and try to salvage any value at all from the remainder of the roster.

Sure. My vote goes to prorating or at least altering games played for rookies.

I don't think we need to vote, the commish has said twice that it isn't changing. We shouldn't retroactively change a rule if we were too short sighted to address before it was an issue

Yeah, regardless of my personal feelings on the issue, given what was said during/before the draft, I don't think we can change it at this point.

Why? Things changed drastically after the draft started. Also, we have a "commissioner" because the league forces us to have a commissioner. I've never thought of any of these keeper leagues as being run that way, I thought these were decisions the league made as a whole.

Detrimental reliance. Once you make decisions based upon a stated position, it's not really fair to go back and change it.

I made the decision not to draft certain people because they weren't going to be good enough next year to use an expired keeper spot on.

we can say that things have changed since we started drafting and we werent sure what was going to happen with the status of the NHL but we cannot hide behind that as we made other decisions such as rookie draft and roster players etc under the same circumstances. the question was raised, you did not express concern at the time regarding this rule but you did speak up regarding the actual rookie draft and draft flow so it is obvious that you were thinking about it. not liking how the rule may affect us now is not grounds for changing it, sometimes we have to eat our hat and move on.

Why would the rule have changed? There was no lockout when I made those choices. No reason to raise concern when it was virually universally agreed that there would be little to no time missed?
