Troy,
Do you have a list of rules / scoring system for the league?

H2H, standard scoring.

1 TD = 6 points (pass, run, catch)
10 rush/rec yards =1 point
50 passing yards = 1 point

i guess the other option for the qb is maybe, 4pts for a td and maybe 1 point for every 25 passing yards. I guess i'm open to whatever...are we for or against yardage bonuses?

keeps are designed like this:
you can keep three guys and keeper eligibility is based on where they were drafted. Say you draft Willie Parker in the 5th round this year, you can keep for next year, but you would forfeit your 4th round draft pick. Any olayer that is not drafted is not eligible to be kept. But there are waiver pickup keeps, but the draft pick you forfeit will be based on where the guy was drafted the prior year. Say you draft willie parker in 5th round (lulz) and he gets hurt and you drop him and then i pick him up and i want to keep him, he'd still cost me my 4th round pick next year.

It will be a snake draft every year, and the draft order will be random each year.

I personally prefer 4/25 for QBs, but whatever is standard these days is fine with me.

Thanks.

I assume this is not a PPR league?

My personal preference for a QB is 6 points per TD, and 1 point per every 25 yards passing. I am open to whatever though.

Do players receive negative points for INT thrown or fumbles lost?

No PPR, -3 for fumble turnover, plus 3 for fumble/turnover on defense, +2 for sack, 6 points for return touchdown. We'll do decimal points. so 9 yards is worth .9 points and not 0. I'd rather limit the qb value in some way. 6td, 25yards is too high, a great qb day (300 yards, 2td) would be 24 points, a great wr day (100 yards, 1 td) would only be 16 points. too much disparity i believe.

That's what I think too, Troy on the QB thing. I am very happy we are doing partial points as I've always been a fan of that. Should INTs maybe be 2 if TDs are 4? Or I guess 6/50 for QBs might make it more uniform. Either way.

Also, with the keepers, we cannot keep anyone drafted in the first 3 rounds, correct?

you know what...i think moving it down to -2 for fumble/int, and +2 for defensive turnover, +1 for sack. I don't really even like having defenses make a huge impact, that's so random with a defense.

Yeah, we did but I guess it doesn't work exactly how we said originally. I'm not sure how this should work out right here, but it's a good question. Here was what I had typed out in the other thread:

Could always make it where the first time you keep them you get them for the same pick you originally spent on them, the second year it's 1 round ahead, the third time 2 and so on. If they get to the point where it would be a first or second round pick you are no longer able to keep them. So:
Year 1: 5th rd pick
Year 2: 4th
Year 3: 3rd
Year 4: no longer able to be kept

Which means if you picked someone in rounds 1 or 2 you automatically can't keep them, but to keep a 3rd round pick you'd have to use a second rounder that next year. So we'll have to ammend this so that you can keep someone who was drafted in the third round for 1 year or it's the first 3 rounds you can't keep.

Probably would be best to allow someone in the third round to be kept for one season as the number 2 pick and then not after that so the original timeline would now become:
Year 1, initial draft: 5th rd pick
Year 2: 4th
Year 3: 3rd
Year 4: 2nd
Year 5: no longer a keeper

I was thinking along with the rounds I had typed out originally as you couldn't use a top two pick for a keeper. The way I just typed it out was the way I intended it to be the other day but messed it up.

beerman,

i missed that part in your post about not ever letting it get to first second round territory. I think you should have the option of keeping a guy for your second round pick, but not your first. And that trickle down forfeit of the pick should start immediately.
