I think I've come to terms with this show being good, but not great. It's good enough to watch each week, but I don't find myself chomping at the bit for the next episode.

When the show first started, I found myself chomping at the bit for the next episode. As season 1 progressed, I was in the same boat as you (i.e. the show is good but not great), and still feel that way today. Though I really enjoyed last night's episode. Thought it was the best of the season so far.

this is one of the few shows that i am chomping at the bit for. i do, however, have a big beef with how much margaret schroeder has fallen from empowered woman to typical house commander.

The money and power is definitely going to her head.

The one character that I really like, and wish there was more of, is Arnold Rothstein.

This show is definitely moving slower allowing for the multiple storylines to work together. Personally, this is definitely my favorite show with how dynamic and diverse a group of characters there are. So much development needed that this show could last a decade.

Margaret Schroeder has been my least favorite character from episode 1. Sexy though. 8-)

Great episode. The scalping was awesome.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say I enjoyed tonight's episode more than The Walking Dead.

brutality was at an all-time high. All it needed was some over-the-top van alden creepiness and it wouldve been the best episode.

Spoiler:
While I understand Richard wanting to commit suicide; he is easily my favorite character and I hope that if they have to kill him, it isn't brushed over as an insignificant event. Though, he has become very central to Jimmy's storyline so I doubt he goes anywhere anytime soon. At least I hope he doesn't.

Richard Harrow is making a case for being the most compelling character on TV.

Solid episode.

Great bloodlines, too: He's Anjellica Huston's nephew.

Spoiler:
I would be very surprised if Richard is killed off, espcially after the scene when Jimmy says he would "fight to the last bullet" for him. I feel it gave Richard a reason to live, and could be an important storyline later on

Margret is way too whiny for me anymore. I understand her plight and all, but overall, I am sick of her character

I just watched the most recent episode on HBOGo. I knew there was something off about Jimmy's mom. Yeah, that's basically what I was expecting.

Not only excited for the finale, but there is supposed to be a teaser for Season 2 of Game of Thrones beforehand.

I really don't think he continues to pursue selling it though. He was in shambles last episode after taking it.

The show seems like it is jumping the shark IMO. It looks like people are cautious about spoilers in this thread so I won't list the reasons why.

I am looking forward to the new series Luck. I thought Boss on Starz was great. I'd even rate Homeland on Showtime above Boardwalk Empire this season.

Maybe this will be Boardwalk's equivalent of the season the Wire spent at the docks, although Boardwalk will obviously never get close to the Wire's excellence.

Mickey Doyle is by far my favorite character on the show.

That said I bet someone, probably Jimmy, kills him tomorrow.

Holy crap! I really didn't see that coming.

Spoiler:
I never saw Nucky having the guts (or the willingness to take on direct legal culpability) to kill someone directly, especially not someone he once was close to.
