nah. whoever put it on the "Best GIF" list made some comment about how he curved the ball when he shot it. i've seen about 15,000 more impressive examples of it in my lifetime - hence my statement that a 12 year-old playing on a 2nd division club team could show you something comparable.

I think he's implying that the act of curving a soccer ball, while still impressive, is pretty routine among high end soccer players, and thus an animated gif of a guy curving a shot on a goal isn't really worthy of mention in a .gif of the year list thing.

nailed it. even average high school players should be able to bend a ball. i wasn't exactly on the varsity team at age 12.

if you're going to gif a bent shot, roberto carlos had one from the 90's that was absolutely sick. it was some free kick from like 20 yards out that only went about 6 ft off the ground, but totally curved around the wall.

edit: found it...but he was from like 40 yards out. boom.
