To get close, when everyone else who took 4 got bogged down, is a major accomplishment and a testament to how good the 11 was yesterday. At least they didn't have the 18's day and luck, getting trapped at that final yellow, where the 48 got the lucky dog.
And while 9 points separate 6th from 10th in the points, 10th is 46 up on Carl Edwards. Looking like barring a major collapse, that the top 10 are set and now it's wildcard jockeying.

And moreover, WC1 is set. It looks like Edwards, Busch, Logano, Newman, and (maybe) Gordon are all that are really relevant, with all 11 other drivers going for wins, as that's the only thing that can help.

Danica, by the way, quietly had a very solid run yesterday.

Nearly eight months after coming within a point of winning their first Sprint Cup Series championship, driver Carl Edwards and crew chief Bob Osborne are splitting up.
Roush Fenway Racing on Tuesday announced Chad Norris is Edwards’ new crew chief on the No. 99 Ford, effective immediately.
Osborne will remain with the organization as a senior member of the organization’s management team and steering committee.
"I have had the pleasure of working with Carl Edwards for the past nine years and, during that time, my focus has been building a championship-caliber program," Osborne said in a statement. "I’m proud of the 18 wins we’ve had together in Sprint Cup Series competition and our two second-place points finishes.
"At this time in my life, however, concerns with my health have necessitated that I change my role within the organization."
Osborne did not go into further detail and said he appreciated the "privacy and respect" from the NASCAR community.
