Fayetteville and surrounding areas got 12-14 inches of rain over the weekend.

These are pictures of Devil's Den State Park (20 minutes south of Fayetteville).

No. I just saw a big picture of the US, a bunch of squares, and a whole bunch of bullet points and don't want to read through it.

I thought this would be a sneaky way of saying I'm lazy.

Thanks Bowser.

The sky's don't seem to be too bad out here in Monroeville. We just got a little rain and some strong wind gusts.

I wonder if it is going to be coming in a few hours.

NAN - Yeah, I'm thinking the tornado watch is a bit over the top on a 3 pm issuance since I don't think we'll see anything until closer to 7 or 8 pm. I'm in Forest Hills, so we've got the same view.

I actually live north of the city, but my power goes out rather easily up there.

We've had all four seasons within the last week in Jtown. big time rain over the last few days. I'm no Jim Cantore so I'm not gonna give you totals. it switched off to 80s today, and now it looks like it's gonna dump moar rain.

Whatever, newly planted garden needs the rain and I plan on being indoor tonight.

This weather is incredible. There are tornado warnings all over the east coast, from Alabama up to Fairfax County Virginia and on up to the Erie-Buffalo corridor. Not watches...warnings. A friend of mine in Tuscaloosa is watching a massive twister about 3 miles from him as I type this. Crazy.

http://www.accuweather.com/blogs/news/story/48909/todays-tornado-onslaught-cente.asp

As of 7:40 p.m. EDT, there have been 94 reports of tornadoes, according to the Storm Prediction Center. Most of these tornadoes have touched down in Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.

A very large tornado touched down in Tuscaloosa, Ala. after 6 p.m. EDT with "complete devastation" being reported on 15th Street and McFarland Boulevard, according to Tuscaloosanews.com. Businesses and apartment buildings have reportedly been completely destroyed.

Local media has reported three fatalities in a tornado in Kemper County, Miss. Mobile homes were damaged and destroyed with a large number of trees down, preventing emergency workers from reaching the area.

CNN reported that a tornado may have struck the Cullman Regional Medical Center in northern Alabama.

That's like a mile from the University of Alabama....insane.
