I tend to have a slower swing tempo, so they are perfect for me.

Quite true. He is nearly always in contention after the first 18-36 holes of an Open, and then it usually falls apart on the weekend.

We've had plenty of good eye candy on Big Break over the years. That's where the best ratings are!! But there are a number of others on the LPGA who have made more money and look just as good, if not better.

As for British Open -- 9 major winners start the day within 4 strokes of the lead. I'm rooting for anyone except TW but I'm also rooting for the golf course because it's fun to watch these guys grind out good scores and then laugh at them when they whine about the conditions afterwards. It's a MAJOR, guys...not the John Deere Classic.

Yeah, it's a great leaderboard with a lot of stories. Agree on the complaining in a major tournament...I like Phil, but whining about the R&A was just sour grapes.

shot my first round in the 70's for the season with a 78 yesterday. Played 6 over on the front, even on the back. My short game was really good yesterday. 5 or 6 bunker saves for par and lots of good putts from far away to get the ball close for tap in pars. The biggest surprise was my driver. It was really on yesterday. One of those days where everything just came together for me.

I heard John Feinstein on the radio earlier this morning and his comparison of Bobby Knight and Tiger:

Knight knows that he's an ******* and works to overcome it; Tiger doesn't realize that he is.

I'd love to see Phil make a run on the back nine and post a good score here.

Can't believe Westwood escaped 7 with a bogey... if that ball had rolled another centimeter back into his footprint.

I've bounced a bunker shot back into my front footprint before. It is NOT fun at all. He got really lucky there.
