Not getting cash this time, but a $100 Masters Gift Bag. Meh.

Shad, they are still looking for recruits for Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. Interested?

It's a legit place. Have done focus groups and tastings there before for cash.

Too much going on this weekend, but thanks for the suggestion.

I agree with OP on the reverence. It is just over the top sucking up to the Augusta National officials every time they go there.

Will pass it along. Thanks.

Can't wait to see what my "$100 Masters Gift Bag" looks like.

Kind of what I'm expecting. Maybe a 3-pack of logo balls.

Stay tuned.

Mad props to that 14 year old Chinese kid. Is sitting +4 after two rounds, including a one stroke penalty on 17 for slow play. On many of the holes, he had to hit fairway woods rather than irons because he doesn't yet have the length. Good chance to make the cut, unless the low score today is -7 or lower (doubtful).

He carries himself really well too. I like him. They just asked him if he thought he deserved the penalty and he just said "I respect the decision"

Also when you had out "Mad props" you should trademark "Shad props"

I will agree with you on this one. It's an epidemic throughout the game. HOWEVER...the last 2 groups (which included Our Lord and Savior as well as the Toonamint Leader) clocked in their rounds at a crisp 5 hours and 45 minutes. There wasn't any talk of THEM getting put on the clock. It's a horribly inconsistently policed situation. Guan was likely doing no worse than anyone else out there. The official who called the penalty on him has a history of nailing people for slow play. Unfortunately, he's the ONLY rules official IN THE WORLD who gets after people about slow play. Rules officials throughout the game need to be more stringent. As a result, Guan had to sweat out the cut when he really shouldn't have.

So for my valuable opinions on a new iPad app for the Masters, I received:

1) http://www.mmogolf.com/2013-masters-golf-pin-flag.html

2) http://mmogolf.com/2013-hat-navy.html

3) and a Masters iPad neoprene case with embroidered logo on front, Masters zipper pulls and Masters imprinted on the inside. Can't find this online anywhere.

Gave my Dad the hat already. Going through chemo again and is real into hats right now. And, he loves golf.

So Tiger was assessed a 2 stroke penalty for not having his ball close enough to where his first shot that went into the water on 15. The rule states "as close as possible". WTF kind of rule is that? What constitutes as close as possible? an inch? a foot? a millimeter? They need to add a number to it like a club's length no closer to the pin. Wouldn't that take all the guessing out of it?

so all the experts on ESPN right now are saying this 2 stroke penalty is fair. Okay, fair enough. My issue is not the fact that he has to take a 2 stroke penalty. I find the 2 stroke penalty to be far better than disqualification, the issue I have is the wording on the rule. what constitutes "as close as possible"?

Golf channel guys saying that Tiger should've been disqualified, stating that he gained a clear advantage. My take is that a this was a born from a tv viewer questioning his drop. They looked into it, and determined that his drop was okay. It was his post-round interview that did him in, when he stated he dropped two yards further back.

To me, this is like a catcher saying after a game that the final strikeout pitch was actually off the plate...so the league steps into try and fix it.

I think he'll be pressured to, in the end.

To me, it's a shame. If he's not interviewed, there isn't even a penalty assessed. Gotta suck for him, tbh.

My beef is that they ruled it was ok, then afterward ruled that it wasn't. If you make a ruling you should have to stick with it.
