I am in. I think I created the Yahoo! league last year? I can roll it over this year probably. I need to stick with it for the whole season next year.

I think you (well someone did) created both a yahoo and espn league. By the time I signed up for yahoo, everyone had shifted to espn and I just gave up.

I liked different things about the Yahoo and the FPL sites.

The FPL site was a better interface, and I liked that it did automatic subs for you if one of your starters didn't end up playing.

I liked the points system on Yahoo better. It seemed like players could get points for all sorts of things (e.g. passed intercepted, free kicks won, tackles won, etc.), whereas FPL was more just goals, assists, 90 minutes played, and shutouts (for defenders and keepers).

I'm kind of torn on the transfer rules. Since Yahoo allowed unlimited transfers each week, it made the sub players pretty pointless, but it also allowed you to really re-tool your team each week to better take advantage of certain match-ups.

I guess we've got to get on this. I'll roll over the yahoo league this morning.

The server seems to be a bit wonky right now. I'll try again in a bit, or if someone else has better luck, just create an LGP Fantasy Futbol league--there's no option to roll over the group from last year.

I was able to create the league in Yahoo. Here is the ID and password, if needed:

League ID:20557
Password:flbqh1t

It looks like Yahoo upped the quality of their interface. It also looks like they lowered their salary cap, but didn't adjust their player prices accordingly. Somehow I have Jordan Mutch and someone named Danny Drinkwater in my midfield for budget reasons :face: .

Blah. I wish there was something that was middle-ground between fpl.com and yahoo. FPL.com is a bit too strict because I'm bound to make some lineup mistakes and would rather not be stuck for a month to get rid of the detritus. At the same time, subs in yahoo don't mean much of anything.

Did anyone use ESPN last year?

OK, well then it's not worth using Yahoo for the LGP league. What do you prefer between ESPN and FPL?

I don't have a preference between ESPN and FPL. I did create an FPL team already, though.

I have all of my teams on FPL, but I'd be game to try ESPN if people want to.

I've never used it before

I went ahead and created an LGP league on the FPL site too. Here's the code: 1564590-471483

what's the deal with subs on FPL? Does the site pull them in automatically if players are out? I assume the player has to not be listed among the subs in order for the site to replace him? Zeros from Rosenior, Barkley, and Navas sure hurt this week. Barkley, at least, was injury and no where close to the field, but Sessegnon was not pulled into my line up for him.

Yeah, they should sub players automatically once all the games are finished (so after today's game). I think they do this even if the non-appearance is not injury-related. I, too, had Barkley starting.

Hmm...it seems like some people use a 3-4-3 formation in FPL. I had always assumed you were locked into a 4-4-2. Swapping out a defender for a forward should result in a big net gain in points over the course of a whole season. Of course, 2 of 3 my forwards are Giroud and Shane Long, so maybe not in my case until I can pull off some transfer (had to use the one this week on dumping Barkley).
