You can actually end up making $2.50 per oil change.
If you buy 5 quarts (of Valvoline NexGen), a Purolator filter (White with Regular & Gold with NexGen MaxxLife High Mileage) it comes out to $20.99 with the combo deal ($24.99 with High Milage); also add the Blitz Oil Recyling Can, since it's free with the combo (Reg. $6.39). You can buy in-store, or pre-order online to get this price and you also will get cashback. File online for the $20 Amex PP Card at advanceautoparts.4myrebate.com and submit for a $7 MIR (or $10 w/ MaxxLife High Mileage) to Valvoline. Total "cost" is $-6.01 ($-5.01 with High Mileage).

Maybe I'm not a man, but I've tried changing my oil the last two times and I haven't been able too.
The first time, the oil drain cap was stripped.
This time, it was on so damn tight that I couldn't budge it. Nevertheless, I still have a bunch of clean oil in my cabinet waiting to be used.

Have you seen the undercover videos at those places? I wouldn't trust them to put in the right oil and filter.

beerman wrote:I used to change my oil myself but I don't anymore. I can get it done for $25 at the dealer where I got my vehicle, I'd spend almost $20 on the oil and filter at Walmart so the extra few bucks isn't a big deal, if the savings were greater I'd still do it. Plus the oil filter is in a crappy place compared to my last car so I prefer not having to fiddle with it. Also, taking it into the dealer they'll look over everything else while I'm there and wash my car, it really makes no sense to change the oil myself anymore.
