Big East getting bigger: Will soon announce additions of Boise St and SD St football-only, Houston, Cen.Florida and SMU for all sports

ExPatriatePen wrote:Totally agree, another sucky match-up. Why can't we just watch the SEC every day?

How many times was dook featured in the ACC's 3:30 slot on ABC or Saturday night ESPN or ESPN2 games this season?

Dunno, there's typically four or five different games on, and my cable system has this thing called a "remote control"... Turns out it comes in pretty handy.

The ACC's TV partners chose games based on interest. Nobody wants to watch dook besides friends and family.
Nobody is going to want to watch any of the Big East's matchups with or without Boise State in prime TV slots on any of the ABC or ESPN channels. 100% of the Big East's matchups will be undesirable. That isn't the case with the ACC.

That's what the Big East will look like in 2014.

Doesn't look good for the Democrats and Obama.
Wait, wut?

Seems they don't have much of a case. I also tend to agree with the Big East that this should be heard in R.I.
The only thing I don't get, is why the Big East would even want an alienated WVU at this point.
Seems like just a money grab by the folks in Providence.

As any divorce proceeding goes, the money aspect is a big deal as well as dragging the other through the mud in the process--the similarities are pretty evident

As long as they don't annex Univ of Hawaii the Big East will always be east of the westernmost BCS school
Although now that I think about it, the BE commish's comments about multiple time zones being an asset would lend itself to grabbing the Rainbows.

Poor Marinatto- he wouldn't be making a fool of himself in the media if Pitt would have remained a brave and loyal son and not gone chasing every possible dollar.

Have to admit, that comment made me chuckle a bit.
WVU knew the rules. They will need to pay dearly to get out a year early (I don't think anyone believes that all three schools will be there the entire 27 months), unless the BE holds them out of spite. And this is the BE we're talking about, so that's definitely possible.
