Any recommendations on Limo service in SW PA

Trying to find a decent one myself. Will let you know what I come up with.

so our wedding/reception is going to be at a place that's about a half hour drive from the hotel we plan to block rooms for because it's about a half hour away from anything that could be considered a city. We are considering getting some sort of shuttle service. Anyone have experience with such a thing? Do you think people will use it? We would obviously need to shuttle people to and from the hotel, we couldn't just do one way because their cars would be left there then... any suggestions?

It depends on your crowd.

I love shuttle service when I plan to stay over at a wedding. Any more though I'm tired of weddings and don't like to stay. If you think the majority of your guests will stay and drink, then I don't see why they wouldn't make use of the shuttle service. Assuming it takes them from the hotel, to the reception and back.

Do it. People that are staying at the hotel typically are drinking. I've been to plenty of weddings where people use it.

Yeah we're like 1 mile from the hotel to the venue and we're thinking about getting a shuttle.

Also, badhands, I know red carpet limousine is good, i just dont feel like calling them and getting prices.

So we're talking about the rehearsal dinner and my fiancee goes "who pays for that"... I said tradition says the grooms family, but my parents are buying the flowers. She goes" Oh, ok". I said "tradition also says the brides parents pay for everything else minus the alcohol, so if we're going by tradition you need some money from your parents". Now of course I know this won't happen, and don't want it to because we're paying for it ourselves. But it ticks me of royally that my parents combined make less than just her mother, and she won't offer to pay for anything. Guess I shouldn't have brought it up now, cause she isn't speaking to me at the moment.

We had a shuttle for our wedding. Big van. Worked out great, the driver was a weird dude but did a great job. It's an expense you have to have if people are going to get hammered and stay in the hotel.

We had a few spots open and invited them 2 weeks before. These were verbal invites. Out of 10 spots only about 6 showed up.

Anyone have an idea of where to rent banquet chair covers? our caterer wants $3.50 per chair. hell, in the 5 minutes he said that, i found them to buy at half price on ebay, but thought maybe i could find them to rent for half price of ebay. if not, just buy and resell..

This is true. That's really the cost, you also have to factor in the fact that even though you might find them for $2 a piece you'd then have to get them, clean them, press them, put them in yourselves, tie the bows yourselves, then collect them all after and find a place to store them until you could pawn them off on the next poor sucker.

Still worth it to me. I can't see dropping $900 on chair cover rentals.

Yeah it's a more difficult choice with a 250 person wedding. With everything else going on with the wedding it was expense the wife and i decided to incur just to not stress ourselves out more.

Yep, and there are plenty of those - we were offered from our caterer/venue to include glassware for $3/person.. at first, i thought F it, they can use plastic. But when she told me that this includes pop and mixers, bam. thats 300 less 2-liters and 7 cases of orange juice I dont have to worry about.
