He's not really a strikeout guy though. Good rotation depth, but not a ton of upside.

I wouldn't say he's not a strikeout guy. He's not a k/inning guy, but he is a workhorse and will get a lot just by virtue of being in the games. Also he'll be facing a lot of guys that haven't seen much of him so I wouldn't be surprised if they were up.

CBear it looks like you only need 4 more picks due to your draft pick trading - 2 MLB and 2 Farm

Let me know if that's wrong, but I think his last 2 picks can be deleted. Also I am done after 15 and don't need a 16th rounder.

Interesting story - Edwin Escobar at 12.1 was the first member of the San Franscisco organization selected

I have 20 MLB, 19 Farm after round 13, so I should have three picks left.

I believe he's 41. He'll lose the job to Brothers in about the same timeline as the League/Jansen situation last year, but I figure at this point I might as well at least protect saves from taht third reliever slot.

I thought about following up my Hunter Havey O's pick with Tommy Hunter and then doing something with Hunter in my name but that thought lasted all of 12 seconds.

Kraftster - you inadvertently added Soriano and Tyson Ross to my team but I should have Soria and Tommy Hunter instead

Need help understanding LTIR.

So for example if I sign Corbin for 1 year and put him on LTIR, that year comes off my cap and I can sign somebody else to a 1-year deal.

What if I sign Corbin for 3 years? Do I put him on LTIR and still just 1 year comes off my cap (i.e. he counts as 2 instead of 3 and I get to sign a 1-year guy (or whatever cap room I have)?

I wouldn’t do that for a guy with a torn UCL, but just wondering for future instances.

Also, am I forced to sign him to a minimum of 1-year deal since I drafted him?

As far as LTIR, 1 year comes available regardless of length of contract. I dont know about signing someone you drafted. Ill get a pick in shortly.

I'm done.

1 year only comes off. I would say that you have to sign a guy for 1 year. I say that only because I think even considering the injury Corbin probably would have been drafted by someone else, so I equate it to the rational behind forcing someone to sign tendered farm players to at least 1 year since the tender "keeps them out of the draft." I don't really care either way, though.
