If this were hockey he'd have stayed in the game

But it's baseball, so he should be ready to go on a strict pitch count by mid-July

I don't think orbital fracture surgery has a long recovery time, but it's probably going to be a close call to be ready for opening day

at least he'll be able to throw bullpens and stuff. Harrison missed a few weeks but he was obviously completely out of commission as a linebacker.

So will Ron Cook's next article be that Burnett intentionally hurt himself to avoid pitching for the Pirates?

Good stuff Kovy! My dad's company has season tickets about 4 rows back on the 3rd base side in section 23, and I end up with the tickets for free about 15-20 games a year. Just awesome

I'm sure it will be on Root.

Edit: Actually, since it's the Phillies, ESPN perhaps?

Probably see Morton/PGK/Correia/McDonald/Bedard to start the year in some order. I'd rather see Lincoln than Correia but I'd be surprised if that happened. This may be Lincoln's last best chance to prove he can be a starter. And if Morton isn't ready Lincoln will take his place. Oh, and the Pirates have the toughest April schedule in baseball.
