No, I worded that poorly. The stories are suggesting that the accident was legit enough, but before heading to the scene an officer in the Seminole Sheriff’s Dept. who was an avowed GZ supporter (and was apparently planning a pro-GZ event of some kind) tipped off GZ and told him to get to the scene. The guy is listed as the responding officer on the accident police report. The four people in the accident were out of the vehicle before the fire started, as apparently evidenced by the many 911 calls from the scene (I confess I've not heard them or read transcripts).

This isn't really being reported anywhere other than lefty news outlets, and the phone records thing was immediately suspicious sounding. I'm not putting much stock in it, just wondering if anyone else had heard/read anything.

I've seen a couple stories reference phone records of the driver of the car showing he was in contact with GZ prior to the incident, but I can't imagine why they're phone records would be available to anyone now. (This is what's making me question the veracity of the stories, actually)

You actually think they put the lives of two children in danger so Zimmerman would look better?

they who? i'm sure someone would.

Each former contestant is seeking $25 million in damages for "economic injuries, lost business opportunities and/or lost earning potential" following their dismissal from "Idol."

That is utterly ridiculous. IF they were marketable they would have had a record deal even if they had lost Idol. But they weren't in one way or another and as such are irrelevant. Besides its not like Idol creates long lasting stars aside from Kelly Clarkson.

I don't follow the show at all, but aside from Clarkson aren't the most successful alumni people who didn't win?

Adam Lambert? I don't follow such things, but he seems to be popular.

I should have read this from the beginning.

Agree, those tards who are suing Idol should have went out and got a job if they were good enough like Adam Lambert and Daughtry. And 4 black people have won as well. And several others have gone on to do well.

Looking at that list, there are a lot of names I remember knowing at one point. More successful winners than I thought.

I'm guessing they missed the memo that felonies don't matter only AFTER you're a celebrity.

Carrie Underwood?

Didn't know she was on idol to be honest.

As for the others, I said long lasting and in that link that was posted all of the success was the first CD and then it drops hard for the following albums in the majority of cases. The people are only marketable through being associated with Idol, and when that association ends so does their popularity (in most cases).

Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson that have had continued success over a long time.

Police in Texas have pulled over George Zimmerman for speeding and then the man acquitted in one of America's most controversial trials in years alerted the officer that he had a gun in his glove compartment.

BFD.

No laws were broken (other than 80 in a 65)... a warning ticket was issued and GZ went on his way.

Can people just move on with their lives?

Good call. You don't want to get shot when the cop sees a gun when you get your info out.
