Shenango Township Police Department officials report that the 17-year-old was on a riding lawn mower cutting grass outside his home when he “turned around on the road, apparently into the path of an oncoming vehicle.”

The car’s driver--who investigators describe as “a taller male, bald, wearing glasses”--exited his vehicle and approached the boy. The suspect then “knocked the juvenile off the lawn mower and assaulted him in the front yard of the residence,” according to police.

As the suspect walked back to his car (“possibly a 1980's Chrysler New Yorker maroon in color”), he was observed “stopping and kneeling down as if in prayer (a ‘Tebow’),” noted cops. The man then fled the New Castle crime scene.

That dude lives on the same block as a friend of mine that I've known since grade school. Within a week, pedo got busted and the bank at the end of their block got robbed.

I'm not sure which part of this is the strange part, or which one is stranger than the other.

JEANETTE — The former supervisor at a western Pennsylvania post office will spend five years on probation and pay a $5,000 fine for faking his own mugging.

Prosecutors say 51-year-old Jeffrey A. Gogets, of Greensburg, collected over $9,000 in medical and employment benefits after he claimed he was robbed of $150 on his way to work at the Jeannette post office in April, 2011. Investigators determined Gogets threw away his wallet and car keys, broke a glass bottle, and inflicted some minor injuries before claiming he was mugged.

U.S. Postal Inspectors took over the investigation after Jeannette police determined Gogets faked the mugging because he needed "a break from life."

I think we've all thought about a break from life, whether it be a vacation, daydreaming or whatever, but faking your own mugging?

His attorney objected to the fine, but a federal judge ruled Gogets could easily pay it in $100 monthly installments if he gave up the five cell phones he uses.

I have one cell phone that I rarely use. I know some people that carry two (one personal, one for work). But five?

O-M-G. What is happening with Amanda Bynes? She now has 2 hit and runs. She just got stopped for driving with her lights off and no licence (suspenended until hearing). And this is yesterday:

Amanda Bynes was driving aimlessly for hours Tuesday ... while smoking out of what appears to be a marijuana pipe and tooling around L.A. on a suspended license. The photos -- obtained by TMZ -- show Bynes taking multiple hits out of a pipe that is designed to look like a cigarette lighter in your car. In one shot, you see what appears to be remnants of marijuana in a cup holder. Some of the nugs appear burnt -- as if they had already been smoked. The car is a mess. Trash is strewn everywhere. There are stains on the seat, empty bottles, dog hair and various other items. Amanda started her journey at Baja Fresh in the San Fernando Valley, where she smoked from the pipe in the restaurant parking lot and ate tacos. She then went to a spa, where she spent 3 hours. We're told Amanda then drove without purpose for several hours, sometimes cutting off other drivers and violating various traffic laws. Amanda ended up at Home Depot, where she again took a hit from the pipe in the parking lot.

She hit another car last night. I'm not kidding.

Amanda was driving her black BMW 5-series out of a parking lot on Sunset Boulevard around 10:30PM when she tapped the bumper of a white car in front of her, leaving little or no damage. According to our camera guy ... Amanda was attempting to cover her face when she love-tapped the other vehicle -- and both drivers left without exchanging information on the scene. It's unclear if the other driver reported the fender bender to cops, but it's a damn good bet Amanda and her suspended license did NOT.

So Amanda, after telling the judge she did not know she wasn't supposed to drive (thought her licence WILL be suspended after the trial if she loses) and promising him she will not until then, got in her car again, began driving, hit yet another car, got stopped and finally got her car impounded.

So then Lindsay started making fun of Amanda on twitter over it.

But. And I know, this all sounds like a big joke, but I assure you it isn't. She herself hit somebody with her car last night and escaped from the scene, only to be arrested later.
