We got married in May of 2006 and were living with my parents. My dad was in ICU from a botched bypass and my mom died suddenly June 21, 2006. The house was being sold so we had to move. We rented a place and the landlord decided he wanted to sell 9 months after we moved in (the lease was month to month) so we moved to a 1br. After a year we were able to afford a 2br so we moved again. The wife lost her job 18 months later and we had to move into the basement of another couple up in Frederick. About 2 years later we bought our home. Needless to say I don't want to move again for a long time.

If you count the first time I moved out of my parents house I have moved 9 times since 2001. In December of this year it will be the longest tenure I've had at any one residence not counting the home I grew up in.

lol, we don't plan on moving for a long time. Good schools in this area, it's a brand new home and many things are still under warranty, we love the rural location and we are still close enough to downtown Frederick and Baltimore, we don't need anymore space even if we have another child, and our mother in law lives with us and has her own apartment on the 1st floor. This is the PFiDC homestead for the long haul. Ya know...unless we move to Belize lol....

Your living situation sounds like the first 15 minutes of background in a horror movie.

"Finally after all these unfortunate circumstances we have our own place, our first home. The kids'll love it. It's perfect"

You're just a stone's throw away from

"Who are you talking to honey?"
"Oh it's my imaginary friend Gertrude. She's very sad."

I bet you got a good deal on it too. The word "rural" just implicates that some murders happened there. Gotta go to the library and pull up old newspaper articles. Get in good with your local priest because it's about to go down.

They have already depreciated in value the second they became used. The fact that there are 2 new consoles coming out has already lowered the value even more. Honestly, I think it would be better to hold onto the consoles and sell them in a few years rather than sell them now. In a few years you may be able to get a better price to sell. But, not knowing the particulars of this situation, PFiDC selling now may be his best option.

The destructive power of Oak trees, which left me without power overnight.

SAVANNAH, GA -

A large oak tree uprooted, falling on a power pole then landing on a car traveling on 37th Street at Paulsen Street.

The driver was not hurt and was able to leave the car without assistance.

The fall knocked out the power to several blocks of the Baldwin Park and Ardsley Park neighborhoods and brought the traffic lights at the intersection to the ground.

The tree fell into the road, landing on an unoccupied parked car.

Crews are on scene trying to clean up the mess.

Use caution in the area.

That last line seems unnecessary.

Not sure if strange or just pathetic

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. -- A 12-year-old boy was taken into police custody after officers said he robbed a lemonade stand. Johnstown police said the boy, whose name was not released, allegedly robbed the lemonade stand Monday at the corner of Cypress Avenue and Bond Street in the Moxham section of the city. Police said the boy used a BB gun to threaten a group of kids who were working the lemonade stand, stating that he would shoot the kids working the stand if they didn’t turn over any money. The 12-year-old got away with about $30, police said. No information was available regarding any possible charges.

There is an element of humor to a scaled down "stick em up" of a lemonade stand.

According to a grand jury presentment, Mary Mechelli, 54, rented out 1311 Scott St. for $475 a month for years although she did not own it.

coke or Coke?

Knowing the section of town where this took place, both are very possible.

If I realized my wife was just fine floating there but the dog was in distress, I would save the dog first 10/10 times.

The Suspect Was "Minding His Own Business, Burning A Bible Near The Side Of The Roadway."

I've actually seen that done, though it was on the last day of 9th grade in Catholic school.
