Oklahoma and Stanford are their two quality wins this year. The rest of their schedule is mud city, with very underachieving wins against horrible teams scattered throughout

Notre Dame shouldn't be in this game. They didn't play anyone who was any good the entire year. The difference in the strength of their schedule and Alabama's is massive. Notre Dame is at best a top 10 team.

Notre Dame had a very legit schedule. Theres no arguing that.

I disagree. They beat Stanford and nobody else worth bragging about.

Michigan. Oklahoma. Standord. Plus solid filler (MSU, BYU, Pitt).

Every bit as tough a's k State and probbaly Oregon who would have replaced them.

Yeah, can someone explain the love affair with Notre Dame's schedule to me? I will admit Stanford was a quality victory. They BARELY beat a lousy Pitt team. They BARELY beat a lousy Purdue team. Did I mention both of those games were in South Bend? I'll call Oklahoma a quality victory too, but I wouldn't go as far to say ND's schedule was "very legit". Hardly.

It took them 6 turnovers to beat a Michigan team that Alabama destroyed 13-6 at home.

Their schedule was fine. Their performance was underwhelming. Their schedule was every bit as tough as their possible replacements in the game.

Schedule aside, their performance this evening is a pretty good barometer for them being "#1."

They're in the Nat Champ game because of the way pollsters vote. Win and you move up. They looked as in winning but their schedule was decent. They also beat USC who was anove average college team

Oklahoma is another team with an inflated ranking. Their only win against a ranked team was over Texas. ND beat Stanford in OT. Other than that their schedule was pretty easy. ND's defense looked great during their season stat wise, but it was all because they didn't play anyone.

Honestly they are probably the number 5 team in the country. If i could rank the top 5 teams right now it would be #1 Texas a &m, Alabama, Oregon, Stanford, notre dame.
