Pretty much. Been striking out so much lately it's insane. Forever alone.

I got married about 4 1/2 years ago. I was 25, she was 27. (30 and 32 now)

We have about 4 weeks where she is 3 years older than me. That amount of time is perfect because it allows me to make my annual jokes about how she robbed the cradle, I got a cougar, etc and for her to be very clear on how much I've worn out my welcome when bringing it up.

Timing is different for everyone, although I will say that a majority of our friends who got married earlier are now divorced. Come to think of it, most of my wife's friends are divorced. But most of them married early b/c they got knocked up. Marrying b/c you get pregnant usually doesn't turn out well.

True story. I worked with a guy that got married 5 times. Two of them was to the same woman.

I'm pretty much in agreement with that statement .. I would venture to say my friends would
agree with that as well.. I never felt I had to be married/have kids by a certain age ..

When I was in my early to mid 20s, all I wanted was to get married. I wasn't worried about a bio clock or anything, because I never, ever really felt ready or mature enough to become a parent. People droning on and on about how "it'll happen when it's meant to be" annoyed me to no end.

I ended up marrying later (I in my 30s and Mr. RDHIF3* in his 40s--first marriage for him, too), and, in retrospect, I'm so grateful it worked out the way it did. I grew to cherish my independence and cultivated my education, career, and (relative) financial security--things that, while not essential to happiness, are arguably still important IMO.

And about those annoying people? I was a million times more annoyed when, in my case, life proved them right. Platitudes--ugh! LOL!

I got married at the age of 23. My wife was 23 as well. I knew her 3 weeks before we were engaged and we got married a year later. Oct. 25th will be our 4th year of marriage.

Too young? Not for me. But everyone is different.
