Gas Prices... what the hell?

Costs me about 45-55 to fill ip with 93, get about 400-430 miles a tank. I love my turbo 4 cylinder.

Do you have a 1.8t? I recently traded in my Honda and now drive a 04 VW 1.8t and don't get nearly that mileage with 93 octane.

2.0t 06 Audi A4, I drove from Pittsburgh to Elkton, MD (299 miles) and used a little over a half tank. I'm even more surprised because its an AWD car.

That's what mine is except an 09. I get great mileage on long trips. When I went from Washington to Canton last month, I was averaging around 30-31mpg and was on pace for around 460 mi/tank.

Traffic to and from work just kills any attempt at decent mileage.

i wonder if mine could use a tune up then. At last check, I drove about 80 miles on the highway after a fill up and it was about a little past 1/4 of a tank gone.

I think this is where the turbo helps, when you're going it's doing it's job. Once you spool it up and get it filled it provides the extra boost, literally.

You could try the tune up, can't hurt. When I got mine I put new plugs in and new ignition coils.

I was thinking about it, but the plugs and stuff only have 10k on them. Car overall has 25k on it.

Does anyone own a flex fuel vehicle and run E-85 in it? I just bought a Ford F-150 that is FFV and wondering if there are any drawbacks or tradeoffs.
