By the way I also have AP and Lynch, both top 4 backs fantasy wise. Also Howling may or may not be better than Matthews. Its debateable.

I have Rice and CJ2K as my starting rb's and Pettigrew as my TE. Should I trade LeShoure for A Hernandez to upgrade at TE? I'd be trading with a divisional rival though.

Doing a mock draft for 2013 with a friend over email. Just thought it might generate some interesting conversation. Based upon a standard 12-team league (6 points per passing TD, no ppr). We are each picking with the same 6 teams, so prior players/positions on a given team is a relevant consideration, i.e., not meant to be a ranking of players but actually what you could expect in a draft. Also, I'm starting Locker in his first week off injury vs Miami over Schaub vs Chicago. I'm still on the fence about it, but I feel it is the correct choice.

I was going to take him mid-second but the Jags suck, and I looked at his rushing yard totals this year (77, 60, 177, 38, 56). I don't know how unreasonable it really is to see him mid-second to early-third (which is where he went).

To be fair his schedule to start the season was pretty rough. This patch the Jags are in right now was where he was supposed to shine against teams that are soft against the run... unfortunately we won't ever know if the pattern above would have continued or not because of the injury. Their coach also admitted they weren't using MJD nearly enough and was going to try and get him more touches. Again doesn't matter cause of the injury but those stat lines don't tell the whole story. Looking at the stat line you provided though

Week 1 against Min (when they were actually a solid D) 19 rushes for 77 yards
Week 2 against HOU who we know is a good D 12 rushes for 60 yards
Week 3 against IND 28 rushes for 177 yards
Week 4 against CIN 13 rushes for 38
Week 5 against CHI top D in the league IMO 12 rushes for 56

So the problem is not MJD. The problem is the coach not feeding his stud nearly enough. In each of those games MJD should have had 20 carries without question.

In the games he didn't receive 20 touches taking his YPC over 20 carries you can project his stats to be

Week 1 81 yards
Week 2 100 yards
Week 3 Had over 20 touches for 177 yards
Week 4 58 yards
Week 5 93 yards

So I mean if they feed him properly he averages 100 yards per game and is the back everyone thinks he is. However that relies on their coach realizing that his team isn't going to play catch up by throwing but by feeding his stud and controlling the game as much as possible.
