not too bad. RB is a bit weak, but not enough to really hurt you. i love percy harvin in fantasy football. ridley is my personal sleeper, and great as at least a rb4. your stafford to megatron plays will be great on the weeks they connect, but you might be screwed on the weeks they don't. should be a playoff team either way.

I'll take the upside of Stafford/Johnson, Brady/Welker, Rodgers/Nelson, etc. all day. In head-to-head, I think you want that upside to be able to just put people away. Brady, Rodgers, and to a lesser extent Stafford are guys that just don't get shut down. It would be very rare that both players in those types of tandems gets shutdown. It can happen, but your chances aren't good if your WR1 or your QB get shutdown individually anyway.

There is something to be said for spreading it out, though. For example, Aaron Rodgers isn't as imposing to face if I have Greg Jennings in my lineup.

Last year I had welker/brady and rodgers/jennings in my two leagues. I never regretted that choice.

I agree. I picked Megatron at 6 (after Foster, Rice, Rogers, McCoy, Brady), so that was an obvious pick. I felt handcuffed into taking Stafford as well with the added QB points. However, we have 8 teams making the playoffs so ADP would have been a nice pick there because he'll be ready for the playoffs. Forte and Andre Johnson were the other options.

I think the team depends on Stevie Johnson and Heyward-Bey. If they have standout seasons, I should be okay, but overall, I'm a playoff team I guess.

My opinions based on various topics I've seen over the last few weeks...

Brees > Brady
Bryant > Austin
Rice > Foster
Decker > Thomas

As far as a player in positions that I think will be a steal based on their draft position?
QB: Andrew Luck

Just drafted for my keeper league

PPR / 6 pts for passing tds, so qbs are worth a little more (Standard is 4 pts)

What do you guys think?

10 Teams

QB- Brees
RB- Turner, Greene
WR- Welker, Jennings
Flex - Marshall
TE - Hernendez
D - Bears
K - Henery

Bench:
RB- Wells, Mendenhall, DeAngelo, Blount
WR - Holmes, Lefall, Baldwin

Obviously loaded in WR / struggling in RB... tried to get potential breakout dudes for rb bench because of that

Naw... idk I've never really been huge on handcuffs tbh. I usually find those get dropped anyways.

It makes sense maybe for ELITE rbs but i don't consider turner that at all anymore tbh

I think wells will be getting more starts for you than greene. Not the best RBs, but they are certainly serviceable with the QB and WRs

I've got the sixth pick in a 12 team ppr league. I think my choice will come down to Brady, Brees, Calvin, or McCoy. Most realistically I think it'll be one of the two QBs I'm left with. What do you guys think would be the order of those four though?

Also, with my second pick I'm thinking about grabbing Graham or Gronkowski if either is there. Stupid to wait on wr and rb? The last two years I've taken wr early because ive had late picks and been screwed by it.

In PPR I'd go:

1. Calvin
2. Shady
3. Brady
4. Brees

It depends who is on the board on if I'd take 1 of them, but my general strategy is always BPA and not worrying about positions until my starting lineup is filled (then again, that may be how I ended up with Brees, Welker, Jennings, Marshall and having Turner / Greene as my rbs lol)

I'd probably go either QB then McCoy. Sure you can still get a decent QB later, but the QB is such a critical position in fantasy with all the passing in the league and will get you the bulk of your points

CJ is a beast, but I wouldn't take a top WR over a top RB or QB. WRs are incredibly deep and you can get plenty of good players to still fill your roster. The QB will definitely get you the most points out of the three.

Calvin Johnson is the only exception to the advice you just gave. He's the pretty clear 5-8 pick in the first round.

Maybe I over do it, but I think WR gets a huge boost with PPR

PPR gives Calvin an extra 100 points on the season

I have a feeling my choice will come down to Calvin, Brees or Brady. I think I've got to take one of the QBs, just because of the depth that was mentioned. If I don't get one of those QBs I'll be left reaching later on.

The problem with WRs is they are dependent on the QB having a good game. It's way better knowing your player will have the ball in his hands on multiple plays. Yes CJ is awesome, but he was still shutdown for multiple games last year.

Yeah I had CJ in a non-PPR league last year and I was struggling to think of a week where he was shut down, let alone several of them.

Edit: Although I agree with the sentiment that you can't take a Top WR over a Top QB/RB.

Meh, I thought he did worse after I traded for him last year until the playoffs. Guess I was wrong. But getting 13-13-14-12-6 isn't what you want from a 1st round pick. You can get that from a 3rd round receiver like jennings last year.

At any rate, I'm not taking any player on the madden cover.
