Somewhat related: It's a shame you can hear Al Michaels is starting to lose it after all these years. Still a fine announcer, but clearly not what he once was. He's not in Musberger or Bob Cole territory certainly (where large portions of on-air time may or may not be spent talking about what may or may not be happening in the game they may or may not be calling), but he's not quite as sharp as he used to be unfortunately. One of the best all-time though.

Things that happen to teams that are up a thousand with 7 minutes left and come up throwing out of the shotgun on 1st and 10. How anyone can root for that team is beyond reprehensible...

Lol they're all professionals, it's not the Patrits job to make sure the Colts don't feel too bad about themselves after the game. And on their last two touchdown drives, I think they threw the ball one time when it wasn't third down.

They have a history of trying to run up the score on teams. Evidenced especially in Brady's TD record* year. They earn all the bad things that come to them.

Belichick does like running up the score (2007 was fun but also embarrassing in that regard) I just didn't feel like today was one of those days. A lot of late runs that went for 10+ yards and third down throws to retain the ball.

I don't think there is anything wrong with running up the score in the Pro's. Both sides get paid to play the full game. Now keeping your starting TE in up on a PAT when you are up 30+ is silly, but I don't bemoan any team for trying to score for the entire game no matter what the score is.

especially when player's career and salary is looked at in such a black/white statistical standpoint. no one is gonna remember when somebody threw for 5 td's and 400 yards 10 years after they retired.

i'm of the belief that you can run it up it you want, but what comes around goes around. i can't wait until brady goes down/retires (not rooting for him to get injured, just the score that will come of it) and belichik gets stomped by 40 for a couple of weeks.
