I am going to go out on a limb and guess Mars has no active life on the planet.

I also like how Curiosity did doughnuts on Mars.

What really blows my mind, those tracks, that very well could be the first time something EVER touched that surface there in the history of Mars. Just strange.

If I make it to 80, I'll volunteer for a one-way ticket to Mars.

I would love to see that craft make some hugh discovery, just something you would never suspect. some kind of fossilized tree would just be admazing or something along thoes lines.

I always wanted to write a book about a burried space ship dicovered on earth, that they determined it came from Mars and thats how humans came to be on earth.

My work buddy just said "That panorama looks like Tunisia". (Which is where they filmed the Tatooine scenes for the Star Wars movies)

no life on its surface - yes

i think i saw some theory about deep trenches of water heated by the planet's core that would be able to support life, though.

Sounds awesome. (Just don't sell the movie rights to Howard Baldwin.)

^

The U.S Navy Space Command flew to Mars in 1996, this isn't anything new. Just the semi-annual public charade from NASA to make it look like your tax dollars are actually making leaps in the public sector of science.

Curiosity, time to wake up, here's some Anthrax. I see somebody was creative and added 30 Seconds To Mars to the setlist too.

Every Mars morning, NASA researchers play a song to wake up Miss Curiosity. Today, during their Reddit AMA, they revealed their most recent choices.
Her playlist so far, according to "EMB" aka Eric Blood, who works in surface systems:
Sol 2: "Good Morning Good Morning" Beatles, Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club
Sol 3: "Good morning, good morning" from Singing in the Rain.
Sol 5: Wagner "The ride of the valkyries" R10 Victory Song: Theme from "Mission Impossible"
Sol 6: "Got the Time" by Anthrax, and "Echelon" by 30 Seconds to Mars
Sol 7: The Doors - "Break on Through", and George Harrison - "Got My Mind Set on You"
Sol 8: Theme from Star Wars by John Williams
Sol 9: Wake Up Little Susie by Simon and Garfunkel
Sol 10: Frank Sinatra "Come Fly with me"

It's still just simply amazing that there is the rover on Mars and it is just rolling around taking pictures. Could be the first time ANYTHING ever has touched that planet.
