I know that teams don't usually keep a 4th QB on the practice squad but I'd like to see them keep Jerrod Johnson there.

I liked Gilreath. Disappointed he got cut, but hopefully they'll put him on the PS

Yup. The signing was equivalent to an extended workout to see what he was like in person

I can't believe we lost Decastro and Thomas hasn't looked good. What a buzz kill.

Just out of curiosity, I'm wondering how many injuries occur at Heinz Field (turf injuries) compared to other stadiums. It seems to me that players are always getting their knees/legs messed up with the Heinz Field surface.

I wouldn't be surprised if they lose. In fact I have already set my expectations for a Steelers loss.

me too. and its just not my normal doom and gloom attitude talking. you know damn well the broncos will get a TD on their first possession as the defense is accustomed to allowing.

i don't think it will be as big of a disaster as last year's opener but still a loss nonetheless.

Tomlin said Mendenhall could play in Denver, apparently he looks good in practice.

I was hoping Redman and Dwyer would have 6-8 games under their belts before Mendenall played and that he could provide depth. I'll be glad when he's somewhere else after this year. the only Steeler's back that I remember going down as easy as Rashard was Walter Abercrombie. Mendenhall gets dropped in his tracks by small cornerbacks after his done doing dance steps.

They gave up a TD on the first drive twice last year. I wasn't aware 2 times in 17 now counted as "customary."

I would say a Maholm would be more the offense executing a well-done TD drive, and the defense turning around and letting the other team march back down the field.
