true, but giving up a run in the first inning counts as a maholm as well, no?

Would it only apply for TD's? Or would a FG count as well?

Just wanted to mention how much I hate this year's schedule. Only something like 5 games out of 16 @ 1PM on Sunday... annoying. I hate 4:15 games because they run into dinner, and I hate the evening games because I always end up tired the next day. The only positive thing is that there are no Thursday games.

I agree with this. But they play Tennessee on a Thursday this year don't they?

I hate Sunday night games so much more than Monday night. At least on Monday you can be happy that you already got through the worst day of the week to enjoy some football. Sunday night, I usually end up getting riled up/wired and I am awake until 1 AM

I can't stand this year's schedule. I need my beauty (OK, really, not even close) sleep.

If the Steelers lose to the Eagles, I'll have nowhere, not work nor home, to hide.

According to SE PA local media, there's a big rivalry brewing between the two teams. Aside from one matchup every 4 years, the increasing bitterness is stoked by playing each other every year in huge early preseason games. You know, familiarity breeds contempt...

I don't believe I'm at all like one of those super-annoying Steelers fans (we know who and how they are), and I don't mean to sound like one, but come now.

I care about this game because I don't want to see Steelers fall to 1-3. Other than that, I simply need to know whether or not people are going to get on my s*** on Monday.

Sweet. Defense should get better and the running game should remain mediocre at best.

Pittsburgh Steelers ‏@steelers
Shaun Suisham was recognized for his clutch performance in Week 5 by being named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week.

I would propose that, instead of using this thread, we use the preceding week's "Are you ready for some football?!?!" thread for in-season discussion. I know Shaf expressed confusion on protocol.

I propose that we just abolish the weekly game threads and change this to just Pittsburgh Steelers thread.

Yeah, I don't think that's a bad idea actually.

The post-game conversation just flows into midweek discussion. That's my logic.

And no way can we eliminate in-game threads, Cowboys Fan.

I guess this question is actually probably better for this thread than the fantasy thread, although fantasy related. For those who follow the Steelers more closely than I, what do you think are the prospects of Emmanuel Sanders becoming a viable WR3/flex (fantasy) play over the next four seasons? Is he a player you would target for one of your long-term slots in a deep bench dynasty league?

I would have said yes before the season but it looks like Haley likes to use Heath more as their 3rd receiver.

It also depends on Wallace.

Yeah, I think its clearly wholly dependent upon Wallace leaving. But that still seems pretty likely, right?
