doxies are a "novelty breed" to some people (OMG A WEINER DOG) and a lot of owners dont realize the level of attention they require. they can be a handful, but they rock faces.

He showed up in my driveway with a collar on....so I definitely had no idea what I was getting into.

It took about 3 months for me to fully gain his trust. He would cower when I would make certain motions and it became obvious that he was treated very badly by someone.
