I've had a couple pairs of boxers for like 3 or 4 years....but they aren't torn or anything. Is this weird?

People still wear boxer shorts? I've been boxer briefs for almost 10 years now....i can't imagine trying to wear boxer shorts anymore.

I made the switch recently after losing some weight. Nothing worse that boxer shorts riding up your back.

I'm exclusively Under Armour boxer briefs. I prefer mid length. I keep them for absolutely as long as possible.

Well when they're $25 a piece yeah i'd keep em for ever too. I think a 3 pack of Hanes for $12 is a ripoff.

I cant do boxer briefs. I wear knit boxers from hanes. Boxer Briefs are too... restrictive.

I wear my boxer briefs until they're shot. Then I throw them away and get new ones. simple as that.

I consider my boxers ruined anytime i poop in them, so i throw them away when I have an accident. I usually buy a new pair at that point and have 10 or 12 pairs at any given time. Full turnover happens every 15 months or so.

4 months? Most people have probably around 12 pairs, averaging 1 pair a day, meaning after 4 months (120 days), you've only worn and washed your "draws" 10 times? That's absurd. And that's the LONG option!

I think they could, but I don't know that I've ever actually worn workout under shorts. I did get some really strange ones for xmas from my parents last year. They don't claim to be compression shorts but they also do not have an opening in them. I still wear them because I have elite bladder control. They are tighter fitting than the others that I have, which might not be tight enough to serve as compression shorts, but again, I don't know that I've actually ever worn them.

Yeah, it is strange to think that my draws collection is probably retail value of $400.

I guarantee I have a pair of boxers that I've worn for 5+ years. It usually takes a few months to break mine in though because of my...assets.

Not sure why 1-4 months is even an option. I go until I get "pit stains".

I took made the switch to boxer briefs about 5 years ago. I prefer white or grey. I like a nice tight fit, as well. I won't pay $arm.leg for Under Armour boxer briefs so I just go with Hanes or Fruit of the Loom. I wear a medium, which is possibly a size too small as I like them nice 'n snug. So snug that sometimes I change them part way through the day.

I'd say I get one to two years out of a pair.

I have a few pairs that are easily 10+ years old and I probably have only worn them once or twice. They are in perfect condition and might be used as an extreme backup in case there is a laundry mishap and the regulars miss out on rotation for any given reason. Now that I'm thinking about this, I have never bought my own, the transition from mom to wife seems to have worked flawlessly and I've never put any thought into it until this thread popped up. I say when and boom, new ones appear.
