Pittsburgh police are trying to negotiate with a man armed with a gun and who says he has a bomb on the 16th floor of 3 Gateway Center, Downtown, Allegheny county emergency dispatchers said.

I'm really hoping this is like the day back in 2006 (I think) where everyone downtown had to go on lockdown due to a "sniper" who turned out to be just some guy on the roof of a building with a pellet gun shooting pigeons. doesn't look like that's the case, but we can hope.

Never mind, just read the article linked that said they evacuated the building.

At least it is now contained to a handful of people and not a mass act of violence.

I believe the entire Gateway 3 is evacuated. They were not evacuating the surrounding buildings from what i understand, but recently told Wyndham guests they could begin to leave. There were people stuck in Gateway Towers (which I believe is an apartment high rise down there)
