To me like it is a clear sign of an American who studied abroad. Thats the "culture" they acquired even though they could have bought nutella at the store before they ever went overseas. I haven't encountered a counterexample to my theory yet.

oh I have. One girl I know who has to be the exception to everything but somehow doesn't fit into the hipster category constantly sings the praises of Nutella. Her range of travel might be as far as columbus and/or new york.

Nutella has been available in Italian grocery stores here in the US for a very long time. Long before it became the cool thing to like.

Italians love their hazelnuts and chocolate, and Nutella addresses both cravings at once.

I think Nutella has a more pronounced hazelnut taste than those cookies - stick things. I know what you're talking about, but I can't remember the name either.

I was listening to "Guv" Huckabee on the radio today and he addressed the bacon shortage story. He actually said something like "I hope they solve this problem so we can all eat bacon as God intended us to do."

I didn't get the impression that he was being ironic in any away.

if people would have just kept their damn mouths shut we'd be fine. but nooo, everyone has to have a meme, and bacon has been "trending" for years, making everyone put bacon on everything, in everything, and piled as high as possible in ridiculous "recipes" so they can make some demotivational picture of it for some fake lulz.
