The difference between the Pirates and the Pens (if you believe Dejan's article) seems to be that the Pirates continued to do military style training after the original training session, and actually had a hell week of activity. The Pirates went way beyond what the Penguins did. It's not even close really.

Exactly. The Pens seal team drills were nothing like the Pirates. Plus, these are minor league players who are close to broke. At least, if a Pens player gets injured, he probably has a few hundred thousand in the bank. A lot of these guys make nothing and are trying to make it to the big leagues. If they get a career ending injury from one of these seal team drills it's all over for them.

No, i'm pointing out that this is not a matter of memory, but a reference that people wouldn't get if they weren't looking at Pirates specific articles. I wasn't the only one who had no idea what was going on.

haha idoit takes a lot of flack in the threads i read and usually for saying exactly what i was thinking. smug for no reason? a guy comes in here out of the blue with an attitude against someone that was asking a question and deserved the "doesn't ring a bell at all" comment, imo. i just read 500+ comments between dejan/tim williams/charlie/vlad/wtm etc yesterday and realized i forgot whether it was smith or stark because it's a stupid non-issue in general. i'm just interested by the polarization of the issue and that dejan went on bucsdugout to, well, whyever he went there, it was interesting.

I don't think he'll start there, but I'd be majorly surprised and disappointed if he wasn't there for most of the year.
