Why is it laughable that he got a gold glove?

he's not a very good centerfielder really. other than plus range he's average or worse at coming in, going back and throwing. he's very clunky when he does need his range as well - often letting balls nick off his mit or miss them completely once he's tracked them down.

I think Jon Jay should have won and he wasn't even a finalist. And Jimmy Rollins? The whole system is messed up. If you don't have a big enough name, you aren't winning.

You think they're going to move Bell to Bradenton?

Leopard, do you expect any agressive promotions in the system?

I'd like to see them be a little agressive with Hanson and Polanco by moving them to Altoona.

If it was 3 outfielders, he should have had it before Heyward for sure. Wasn't it just OF OF OF until recently?

i don't expect they'll move bell to bradenton - i just failed to mention him.

i don't think i'd like to see them move hanson or polanco to AA. AA is a big enough jump anyway and i don't want them going in doubting themselves and possibly getting bad habits trying to survive. lambo made that jump actually around the same age and survived in AA but then was never able to get any better. it's not really proving anything, but he came to mind. curry made the jump at a much older age after being even better in WV and really struggled as well. i'd rather see them both earn it with big numbers in A+ while keeping their prospect value high for a potential trade if one presents itself.

there's also no need to rush the guys. getting a player to the majors at say 21 is possibly less valuable than at 23. you're more likely to get more of their peak seasons before they can leave for free agency. only benefit is if they come up very young and struggle a bit you may be able to lock them up but with risk like tabata.

Coonelly did an interview on an Altoona radio station so most of the Pittsburgh media cried about him not doing it here and trying to avoid them.

Does Mark Madden love everyone in Pittsburgh flipping out about Coonelly? I am regretting not being able to listen to him during the aftermath of this season's collapse.

I havent heard much from him on Coonelly. I think he's too busy fabricating and overblowing Ben Roethlisberger hate so he can spend 90% of his shows defending Ben for no reason.
