So what are people's thoughts on Online dating sites? Maybe that's a good option for people that are good at going on dates but not good at finding one in the first place...?

I have friends that use Match.com and plenty of fish, for both dates and casual encounters, and have a ton of success. If you're looking for dates you'll eventually meet someone you like, just be prepared to give out a lot of free dinners.

Seriously I went to grad school with a girl who had a dinner date lined up like 5 days a week

I was on match for a while and never really got the nerve to meet anyone. i dont know what it was, i talked to a few and just never did. But its becommin more and more the norm. The last two serious girlfriends I had I didnt meet online per se, but one girl we saw each other out at bars, never talked but basically worked up the nerve over Myspace. and the other saw me comment on a mutual friends facebook page, asked bout me and we got together. Both meaningfull relationships. Its just the way it is now. And as you get older, you're more consumed with work, and also prob dont like to hit the bars too much, so no reason why online dating shouldnt be a good thing.

Online dating seems like the easiest way to pull in strange. Has me intrigued, but using it for immoral purposes seems a bit unethical.

Niece got married yesterday. Got to see and partake of love anew.

Proud parents from both sides. Haven't seen a married couple semi-Dirt Dance for awhile. Get a room, you two. (both parental units)

He is an amazing artist. She is my niece and an amazing care giver.

They plan for 4 kids. Wish them the best that love can give.

Cheers to Allison and Justin!

Thanks, Ryan! I love a wedding where vows are exchanged. To me, is resets the clock of love. To find someone in this world that wants to leave some behind and join in the future with another is what love means.

To see a newly wedded couple? Makes even the Biggest of us smile! :D

my feelings on online dating. it's really easy because you basically introduce yourself to dozens of girls without any fear of rejection what so ever. that's the main plus. the main minuses... you need to meet the person all over again once you go out, making the whole e-mailing/chatting stuff pretty pointless. also, people lie. if a girl looks like an 8 from her picture, she's probably a 6 in real life. (guys do that too, before anyone accuses me of being a sexist). bottom line is that you don't know what you're getting until you meet the person face to face anyway.

Free roll. Hit it with house money, yo.

I'm getting married lol. The ex that just thought it'd be great to stop bye is a big ball of crazy. The whole never talk to her thing happened because. Tried to get me to break up with my fiancé. The nothing to see here, move along comment is how I'm treating it. It was just super weird and awkward.

I looked at eharmony a few months ago but decided against it when I saw the cost. I guess that means the people on there are serious about it (which is a good thing), but at the same time I almost feel that if you're going to pay that much for it you have to be at least a little bit desperate and afraid of "putting yourself out there"

If you are serious about wanting to meet someone, don't be a cheapskate and try to use absolute shady websites like Match.com.

My ex called me on Saturday and said she would be in my neighborhood, because she had a blind date.
She went on to say that she wasn't too excited about that, but she was interested in seeing me.

I declined and she cancelled her date.

If it's an ex, then I'm sure you had good reason. And if it was an EX (you know the ones), it could be the best decision you ever made.

Don't go away empty-handed. Use the confidence boost before it runs out. By my estimate, you have 72 hours to 1 week before you are back to equilibrium.

A friend of mine met his wife online (match.com or something like that). At their wedding, the best man had mentioned that in his speech and said "I guess it's true...you can find anything on the Internet."

His friends and family thought it was hilarious. Her side was silent.
