Basically, this guy is pushing the upper bound on free falling distance. Our most advanced high altitude aircraft go to about the hight he will be falling from. Any further up and he would likely be flirting with orbit, and interestingly he will probably feel like he is floating for a few minutes because there is virtually no drag. Then he will be cruising at over 600 mph.
