i'm more of a "ben is a tough hombre to be playing through all those injuries" guy than a "ben whines a lot about injuries that he should just shut up and play through" guy. if you've watched the beatings he's taken over the last 4 years, i don't know how you could skew towards the latter.

Ben has played tough I dont dispute that, but you havent been watching over the years if you don't see just how much he plays up these injuries. Not saying its the case this time, but he's cried wolf so many times that people just roll their eyes now. I need two hands to count how many times he's laid on the field dead and then never missed a play.

And just out of curiousity, I meant to ask this weeks ago but forgot, what ever happend to that season/life threatening injury he had in camp? (Was it the ankle?) It was this huge story then as soon as the ball was kicked off it never got mentioned again

The way he talks about all of his injuries to the medai is unbearable. If you took him for his word about the extent of all the injuries, he's pretty much a superhero. I'm sure he's somewhere between tough SOB and whiny ******, I don't think a tough SOB would make it such a point to glamorize all his heroics to the media, so I lean more to the whiny ***** side of the scale.

He had some foot issue before the season. He probably told Pompeani that his foot still hurt, Pompeani probably ran a story that Big Ben's foot was career threatning. Then the fan probably picked it up for a week until it was apparant that the issue was roethlisberger's foot was sore, then he got a new pair of cleats and it felt better after that.

I think he also needs to understand that regardless of whatever he did in the past, if he sucks sunday afternoon, he's going to get criticized, severely wounded or not.

I think its pretty pathetic that in the 9 years Ben has been in the league the Steelers couldn't draft and develope a decent backup QB

I am not a fan, no. But I dont just hate every player on the team for no reason. Some of my favorite players ever were/are Stillers
