http://techland.time.com/2012/11/15/all ... r-results/ The Top 10
Pac-Man
Super Mario Bros.
Pong
The Oregon Trail
Space Invaders
Donkey Kong
Tetris
The Legend of Zelda
Asteroids
Mass Effect 3
Very surprised that Oregon Trail was ranked #4 over games like Space Invaders and Donkey Kong.

Disturbing lack of Chrono Trigger in the top 10. Actually that voids the list. Especially with Mass Effect 3 there. EDIT: Oh my god, its way down the list. That list is horrible. Who was voting? I've never seen a panel of gamers vote that anywhere close to 10, much less outside of the top 10. EDIT2: Oh angry birds is above it. I understand now.

Judging by the placement and rating of Tempest (38% Definitely, 62% No Way), I'm going to guess some highly unqualified people.

The fact that you like AoE makes you top 5 on Rylan's Favorite Posters list.

I really hate Top (Anything) lists because you will disagree with them no matter what. But this has to be the worst video game list I've ever seen. ME 3 was a good game, but the ending destroyed any consideration it had to be mentioned on the list. ME2 was a better executed game. I feel like an old man made the list. I understand the historical significance of some the games, but some of them are way to high.

Some good games on there to be sure. The lack of Tecmo Super Bowl (NES, #1 all time for me) was disappointing.

Yeah, I don't know who was doing the voting on these, but there are some that are rated too low? Pitfall only 81%? Outrun only 62? This is your first racing game that had music and more importantly, maps. Even Madden '95, which I'm not a big fan of, is surprisingly low.

Yeah, this is obviously a modern pop cultureish list...and the disrespect to CT shuts me off completely.

That's true too. I mean, was Pong revolutionary? Of course. Can I play it more than thirty seconds without losing interest? No.

Eh. What that list represents is nostalgia. Not reality. Nobody in their right mind (except for nan
) would play games from 20 years ago over the current ones.

Since we all clearly disagree with the list, I thought it'd be fun to do individual top 10s. (These are games that were important to me, not necessarily the best of all time.) Super Mario Bros 3 Goldeneye NHL 95 Halo: Combat Evolved Mega Man 2 Contra Punch Out Mortal Kombat II Mario 64

I had to stop playing the game, because I spend about one year doing little else. Ok, I'm exaggerating. But not much.
