Yes, happy Thanksgiving everyone.
After visiting my family i'll be then traveling to Erie to see the Otters play Belleville. That's probaly when my Thanksgiving won't be as happy as it started out to be.

I decided to brine the turkey yesterday before frying it today. Looking forward to it.

Brine is the way to go, nothing keeps a bird juicy like a solid brine.

i didn't know i was in charge of the turkey until the last minute.. no time for brine, just did flavor injection instead. Roasting it. I usually deep fry it at my parents house, but they're not doing Tgiving this year with all their children gone except for one. I think brining helps, but cooking the turkey to the appropriate temp is more important IMO.

Got the turkey in the oven, with a 2:30 p.m. ETA. Does anyone actually have Thanksgiving dinner at dinnertime? We always eat around 3:00 or so.
