It just occurred to me how thin the line is between murderer and a "tragic" incident. It's just the split second before/after the trigger is pulled for the second time. If he hadn't taken that last step, he'd be reviled by everyone for the rest of his life. Now, it's probably 50/50.

I've thought not so much in that sense...

But more of a just how quickly a life (or in this case multiple lives) can change.

Right before that argument of her being out at a concert too late.... how drastically everything changed at that split second decision in anger.

I've heard of him but thought it was somebody different. I thought Trey Songz was somebody from the late 90s to early 2000s that was still doing tours in small clubs.

It's disturbing how these countdown shows are putting his photo up with his birth and death date as if it was some sort of unfortunate accident. He murdered somebody. Then selfishly took his own life. And he couldn't even do it privately. He had to do it in front of others and effect even more innocent people. The dude should not be given a hero's send off. How bout instead of showing his photo and years lived, we show a photo of the girl he killed.

Haha, I'm saying he's kind of in the inbetween stage of if someone over 27 would even know.

Decently popular so not like it'd be a shock, but he's also not "Kanye West" type of big that everyone has at least heard the name

Word is breaking that a member of the Cleveland Browns groundkeeping crew committed suicide at their stadium. He was found hanging in the equipment shed by another employee.

I tend to agree, nocera. I generally defend sympathetic views towards those who do "bad" things as a result of mental illness. I also think this guy had some serious issues beyond his own control. But it's a bit too soon to paint this guy as a victim. I credit the Chief who had a moment of silence for all victims of domestic violence. That tribute avoided casting this guy as a hero, but also fulfilled an obligation not to pretend nothing happened.

There's nothing wrong with "all life is precious" point of view. It is undoubtedly sad that something led this by-all-accounts normal guy to snap over a mundane argument, kill his baby's mother, and take his own life. But again, given his abhorrent conduct, he is undeserving of honor.

the best thing to do is to let this thing blow over with some acknowledgement, but as little as possible. i think the NFL and KC did a good job in this regard. the "HOW CAN THEY NOT CANCEL THE GAME!!!!!" outrage from the media is weak. it's just another way for people to incorrectly pile on goodell.
