NBA: New Orleans Hornets changing team nickname

A little history here folks. The original minor league baseball team in New Orleans was named the Pelicans. So there is history with the name in the Big Easy. And some guy name "Shoeless" Joe Jackson played fo the Pelicans for one year in the early 19-teens.

Funny you should say that on this date. On 12/11/08 It snowed in the morning from about 8 to 11. Really heavy. I was astonished. And then when I went to work about 5:30 that evening pretty much all the snow had melted. Just didn't stay cold enough during the day to stick around. No, really.
