Meh shock has a crazy effect on people. Couple that with being intoxicated and this ends up not surprising me.

I had a friend who was in a single vehicle accident while intoxicated and all he kept asking the police and firefighters was "are (me and my fiancee) alright or are they hurt"... we weren't even with him.
