Traffic afterwards, not so much. I was most impressed with Petco. It was like walking thru an open-air mall on their concourses, which makes sense since they always have great weather. I'd certainly recommend that one.

Getting out of that place(Dodger Stadium) is one of the most horrible experiences ever. One way out...its like leaving the amphitheater in burgettstown, whatever its called now. Awful.

What would be the worst 5 MLB stadiums? Toronto is a dump. It would be on my list. Tampa is another I can think of off the top of my head.

I really don't like Nationals park. Lots of bad sight lines above the lowest level. I wouldn't call it a dump, but its the worst one i've been to.

So I settled on the Vdara for my next Vegas trip. Still on the Strip, but no casino. It's the sister property of the Aria.

It was supposed to be condos, but when the housing market bottomed out in Vegas, it became a time share resort/hotel.

The Trop, from what I've seen on TV, is a horrible looking dump of a stadium.

Trop (or as I like to call it -- The Concrete Jungle) is the absolute worst of the ones still standing that I've been to. Bad location (move it closer to Tampa!!), zero ambience, zero feel, no buzz in the crowd (but plenty of cowbells!!). When they were still standing, the other two bad ones I had been to were Shea and the Metrodome. Of the new ones I've been to, I wouldn't consider any of them dumps but I get a lot of 'meh' out of Texas, White Sox, and KC (a minor league stadium with an upper deck).

Only been to two non pittsburgh MLB stadiums. Shea and RFK. Both had that terrible feeling of being in three rivers stadium.

Three Rivers was awful for baseball. I miss it dearly for Steelers games.

Dodger Stadium ingress and egress are tortuous experiences. I hate baseball, but I do enjoy going to a few games a year with friends. I quit that habit after moving to L.A. and going to about four Los Doyers games.

I only saw one steeler game at three rivers and it was 1995, so I really don't remember, but I do think Heinz field is terrrible. Was Three Rivers good, or is Heinz field really bad? I have nothing to compare it to.

Three Rivers was loud and raucous and shook. It wasn't the most family friendly place IMO -- not that Heinz isn't filled with drunken idiots -- but the environment was more enjoyable IMO. Heinz suffers from the issues that CEC does; fanbase spoiled by recent successes and a facility that fails to capture noise.

We are discussing a trip that would take us to Pittsburgh to drop of the animals to be watched while we road trip to Toronto then on to Ottawa or Montreal...down to the finger lakes, back to Pittsburgh and then returning home. Thoughts...? I guess we could try Kingston, the only cities I want to see are Toronto and Montreal. How are the other cities in there? Is Ottawa worthwhile? Kingston bad?

Heinz? I don't mind it too much. Football stadiums are rarely architectural wonders.

View it from Mt Washington....it's completely out of place from the rest of the cityscape (and made worse by those garish yellow seats). The city would have been better served by an enclosed - note, not domed - stadium.

the yellow seats do look bad, especially when my Pitt Super Panthers are playing someone like the New Mexico Lobos

while we are talking about stadiums, whats the deal with that small green wall in the PNC outfield? above where Pirates is written in bushes? it seems out of place and obscures the skyline.

It's called a batter's eye. Every ballpark has one. Apparently, in the old days, fans would sit in dead-center field and wear white t-shirts so the visiting batters would lose the ball.
