I just came on here to post this. This has exploaded and gone national. Locally this case has been getting attention, but not even close to what it should be. Even then, that community seems more like they are supporting the players than anything. A few months ago while the boys were still being held in the jail, I was driving to pittsburgh thru Steubenville and there was a huge white sheet on the fence across the street from the jail that said "LET MY PEOPLE GO." So it was immediately a race issue, not a rape issue in that town. If there is evidence of a cover up, oh man. And I would get kind of a sick enjoyment from that given how much I hate the way high school football is looked at around here. As my one friend said, he feels like Hall & Nash just showed up lol.

Long story short a few football players are charged with raping a 15 year old girl at a party. She was either really really intoxicated or drugged, thats not known yet. But apparently they took this girl around to different parties that night and other people had sex with her as well. It was discovered as people were passing around the video at a football game and the girls father was sitting behind some students who had the video on their phone. Around the city, it seems to me there is more support for these players than for the girl. The coach hasnt spoken out about it, and rumors are starting to swirl they knew about it and did nothing. Now Anonymus hacked a fan site with that video, posting twitter photos and updates from students that were tweeting and facebooking as it was happening. Also, apparnetly a Big Red booster was getting photos of girls from some of these students at parties, and 1 photo they found in his email was of a girl who is believed to be a victim of a rape in KY. They gave everyone involved until Jan 1st to publicly apologize to the girl and her family and come clean, or they claim they have much further evidence they will release. Apparently, it took well over a week to the PD to start investigating the rape, but they were investing the site hack within hours.

And I just rewatched the video, they uploaded it to a Russian server after youtube took it down. They posted a ton of twitter posts from those at the party, and they are pretty damning.

I dont think anything would have come of this either, but in the 15 hours or so this video was posted news has already gone national. Only 2 players were charged with anything, and the video specifically names about 8 other players that were at the party, and warned faculty not to protect them any longer.

They've organized an Occupy steubenville type protests for this Saturday and Saturday the 5th. Supposedly people are comming in from all over to take part in this. I've been following some of these annon guys and some of these students on twitter. The fact that these kids can't learn to keep their mouths shut by now is truely astonashing

My favorite post from the guy that did the video was to Steubenville's Sherrif Fred Abdala. He said "I'm half your age, make more money a year than you do working from home, legally, and I just did your job in my spare time."

Steubenville is pretty much mob run, and Abdala is in on it. People are comming out left and right with just how corrupt those city officials are up there.

Its a complete s*ithole of a town. With a high high crime rate. I drive thru there when I have to go to Pittsburgh, even with your windows up I get ill from the smell, between the factories, and just the city itself.

Anon has been going after WTOV9 on twitter for not covering it at all. Then they got info the WTOV's GM Tim McCoy is a Big Red booster, and have been encouraging people to contact the station to question this. Ive been following this for 3 days, its crazy. These guys uncovered more evidence in 48 hours than anyone else has (PD, news) in 4 months. Anon is investing the coach too, Reno Soccocia (sp?) If they take that guy down I will love it. What an arrogant ass. All because of HIGH SCHOOL football
